Although her name may not be as synonymous with music as it once was, female rapper Jacki-O is still trying to make sure that she is finding a way to give back in some form or fashion.
Announced by Shadow Play Entertainment, the rapper, along with recording artist Tray Chaney, have both been named Ambassadors for Community Options, Inc.
A national non-profit organization, Community Options has developed housing along with employment support for those that have disabilities.  The work of the organization has spanned back
to 20 years and its operations take place in areas such as New York, Kentucky, Texas, Pennsylvania New Mexico and other states across the country.
"As a mother myself, I know how precious the lives of all children are. For that reason, it is my belief that any organization that provides assistance for those with disabilities---regardless of their age---is one that we need to support,” Jacki-O said in a statement.
Building their own buzz and establishing a solid fan base, the two artists hope to use their celebrity in order to raise awareness of the organization and gather even more support for the cause.
"At a time when all of us are in need of something, it is easy to forget that there are those who face daily challenges that we take for granted,” Chaney stated.
“Organizations like Community Options remind us that those who have must give to those who don't. It is our responsibility as Americans.”
